FileZilla FTP Program Installation (for Windows)

FileZilla is a fast and reliable FTP client and server with lots of useful features and an intuitive interface.

Step 01:
      After you completed the installation, you may want to open FileZilla right away.
      The FileZilla GUI should look like this when you open FileZilla.

Step 02:
      FileZilla like most FTP Programs are easy to use.
      You just need to type in the correct fields to be able to connect to the server.

      For now, try filling-up the:
      Address with: ftp.oztype.com
      User with: darren
      Password with: newhorizons

Step 03:
      Hit enter or press "Quick_connect" as soon as you're finished, you should be able to see a page like this.
      The "Status Window" on the top most of your screen should also indicate the connection is successful.

Step 04:
      Here notice that, on the middle left of the screen, there's a subwindow called "Local Site".
      Here you can browse through your computer's files and folders so you can "Upload" them to your "Site".
      On the middle left of the screen, located is the "Remote Site" subwindow.
      Here you can browse through your site's files and folder so you can "Download" them to your PC.

      Uploading files to your "Site" is quite easy. Just use the "Local Site" subwindow.
      Locate the file or folder you wanted to upload to the site, highlight them and simply drag the files/folders to your desired folder
      in your "Remote Site" subwindow, or you can simply right click the files you wanted to upload and click "Upload".

Step 05:
      Downloading files from your site like uploading files to your site through FileZilla is quite very easy.
      Just go to your "Remote Site" subwindow.

      Locate the files you wanted to download, highlight the files/folders and drag them to your desired folder
      in your "Local Site" subwindow, or you can simply select the files/folders, press right click on your mouse and select "Download".

Step 06:
      Notice that after you click "Download" or "Upload" you should be able to see this on the bottom of FileZilla's Interface.
      This window indicates the local and remote site filename of the file, the size of the file, the host, the status of your download, etc.






After the file is downloaded/uploaded, you should be able to see on the top most window of your screen an indication that the file is downloaded/uploaded successfully.
